You can read the essays without an account. When enabled, Cloudflare Web Analytics measures aggregate visits, page views and referral sources. It does not use analytics cookies or build advertising profiles. Ad blockers and browser settings may prevent some visits from being counted.
Leaving a comment
We store the nickname, comment text, article, reply relationship, submission time and moderation status. Approved comments are public. You do not need to provide an email address or your real name. Avoid including private details about yourself or others.
Comments pass through Cloudflare’s Turnstile spam check and hosting infrastructure. Cloudflare processes connection information such as your IP address to deliver and protect the service. Our comment database does not store raw IP addresses. Short-lived, cryptographically derived rate-limit records expire and are cleaned up during subsequent requests.
Moderation
Comments are reviewed before publication. We may hide spam, harassment, impersonation, personal information or irrelevant promotions. A comment from “An engineer” with an author label comes from the site’s moderator. Reader nicknames are not verified identities.
Comments remain stored until removed by the operator. Hiding a comment removes it from public view but does not erase the stored record. To request a correction or removal, submit a new comment identifying the original article and nickname, beginning with “Private moderation request.” Requests will be handled in the moderation queue and should not include sensitive information.

The site is designed to run on Cloudflare. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its handling of service data. The site does not sell reader information or run advertising trackers.
